For people claiming in Canada who are thinking about the cost of a mobility scooter or power chair, and is it covered under Medicare, the answer is no. However if you have extended medical coverage, such as, Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, Manulife and such, it is quite possible they can pay for most of the cost.

6. Then it can take around 4 to 6 weeks for your claim to be processed.

If you are on a disability pension, you can claim through Human Resources. You will need to contact your social worker to find out how you go about this, or contact Human Resources directly.
